Mixed Media May GIVEAWAY!

What's up, lovelies!!

Just in case you missed it, I was one of the featured artists on the Mixed Media May blog on May 6th. It was such a great and fun opportunity to share my artwork and my story with other people who appreciate my God given abilities.

To top off the success of this year's Mixed Media May blog celebration, there will be a GIVEAWAY!!! Yes, you heard me right...Be sure to check out which of the artists are participating in this.

Just for fun, I created two collages that feature my favorite pieces from each of the participating artists (in no particular order). Needless to say, I am blown away by all of these eclectic styles and techniques! WOW!

Now that I've piqued your curiosity, head on over to the Mixed Media May blog, read the interviews, enter the giveaway and most importantly, I hope you enjoy the richly inspiring artwork!!!

You can read all about my creative process ( like my meditation practices, what inspires me, and other motivational bits ) right here.

Did you discover a favorite artist? Which artist's interview resonated with you the most?

Interviewed on Mixed Media May!

Pssst...did you hear about the great news?

I was asked to participate in a blog celebrating mixed-media artists! All I can think of right now is how blessed my life has been. I've been landing some really great and impactfull opportunities as an Artist! I'm gratefully honored to be getting as much exposure as I can.

So thrilled to be a participant, this year! Yayyy!

Cindy Jones Lantier, a personal empowerment coach, is the brains behind the operation of Mixed Media May 2014, an annual blog celebration of mixed media artists. This is the 3rd year that she's featured artists of all skill levels. What an awesome job she's doing over there!!

Each day this month, you can meet a new artist. I'm really looking forward to connecting with these insanely talented people!

You can read about my meditation practices I do before starting a new artwork, what inspires me, and how I create my illustrations.

Be sure to check out my interview and if you would be so kind, please leave me a comment on the Mixed Media May blog so I can reply back to you.

Thank you!
I hope you enjoy all of the eclectic artwork from the artists ;)

Peace

Spring and Culture Inspiration

Hello my friends of creative genius!

Lately, I've been spending a couple of my afternoons preparing for my next article + tutorial for the Mixed Media Art website.

With Spring finally here, I've been mesmerized by the simple beauty of:

new flower blossoms...
the soft, creamy pastel colors from a magnolia bloom...

the florescent bursts of sunshine yellow daffodils...
waking up every morning to the hypnotic chirping of a mama cardinal (her nest is right outside my window)...

peeling paint and stained glass windows on historic architecture...

the gentle blow of a wind current, making the hem of my skirt dance...
sudden and unexpected rain storms...rain splashing against my face; my eyelashes collecting small droplets...
Oh! How could I ever forget the sky?! *sigh* words can not serve justice to this sight...

* * So much beauty to behold! I count it a blessing to be able to witness the absolute magnificence of Jesus. * *

As you can imagine, all of these things and more, have given me a load of inspiration to unleash in my upcoming projects.

For my next article + tutorial, I'll be showing you how to create these super easy Intricate Paper Stencils using, guess what? Phone book paper! Yes, that's right, my friend! Super easy AND super cheap ;)
